Juan Ramirez Jr. - Playwright

Juan Ramirez, Jr. (he/him) is a Nuyorican-Chapín Bronx born-and-raised award-winning and internationally produced playwright and screenwriter, monologist, director, actor, filmmaker, producer and poet. His solo show Broadway Of The Bronx: A Juan Man Show was awarded the inaugural Bronx Council on the Art’s Bronx Cultural Visions Fund Production Grant, developed at Yaddo and received a mini-grant part of Rattlestick Theater’s Block-by-Block Artist Investigation Project, directed by Cándido Tirado. Notable plays: Calling Puerto Rico (Pa’lante Theater, Finalist with The Miranda Family Voces Latinx at Repertorio Español, Finalist with Bay Area Playwrights Festival, recipient of 2019 Bronx Recognize Its Own (BRIO) Award, and semi-finalist with LTC Carnaval of New Latinx work), The American Dream (Subtext Studio Theater, New American Voices at The Landing Theater, inaugural Broadway Bound Theater Festival at 14th Street Y, semi-finalist with Stage Left Theatre’s Downstage Left residency), Ridin’ Shotgun (Best Play with Downtown Urban Arts Festival), and others. Film credits: Alone with my Demons (Best Bronx Film with Inwood Art Works, 3rd Annual Concourse, Naked Angels, Mott Haven), Sins of our Fathers (Best Screenplay with Revolution Me Films, recipient of BRIO Award) and B:|ch Face (Second Round Austin Film). Omar Perez - Director

Omar's (he/him) focus as a director is in the development of new works. Recent directing projects include Bomba and the Coqui, (Piper Theatre) shows at the Marian Goodman Galleries in London and New York, Embracing Bethlehem/ Abrazos a Belén (Touchstone Theatre’s Festival Unbound), The Names, In 5 Beats; a collaboration between LaMama and Pregones Theatre that showcased beatboxers and actors lead by Omar and renown Beatrhymer Kid Lucky. Manchild Machismo, (Off Broadway, Winner of 2016 Hola Audience Favorite for Best Direction) 3 Is Enough, an international collaborative project between theaters representing The Bronx, Belgium, South Africa, and Peru, Name and Blame Inc. by Ricardo Perez-Gonzalez, and Breath to Breath, by Michael Wells-Oakes.

Charlie (he/him) is a theater director, producer and marketer from Queens, New York. Their passion lies in new work development, experimental storytelling and advocating for a diverse theater community. They are currently the Marketing Director at Egg & Spoon Theater Collective and LOBSQD.

Andres Nicolas Chaves (he/him) is a Colombian born actor, writer, and filmmaker. He is known for HBO's "La Piel de Ayer," Ari Shapiro's "Haven" and will soon star in Director Daniel Armando's upcoming feature "A Boy Like That" alongside Jaime Zevallos (Marvel's Cloak and Dagger). NYC: Cherry Lane, INTAR, Latinx Playwrights Circle, Primary Stages. Regional: Humana Festival, ATL, The Guthrie, Mile Square Theatre. Training: NYU Graduate Acting, University of Minnesota/Guthrie BFA Actor Training Program, Actors Theatre of Louisville Professional Training Company Awards: Best Actor, 2018 Miami International Film Festival.

Athena Colón - Mama Bear

Athena Colón - Mama Bear

Athena Colón (she/her) is a bilingual, native New York actress, teaching artist and coach. While earning her BFA in Theater from Long Island University, C.W. Post, she co-created, Third Child, which toured Italy, the Czech Republic, and New York City. She has trained with former Telsey + Company casting director Heidi Marshall as an On-Camera Acting Coach. Athena is the proud recipient of the 2020 and 2023 BRIO grant from the Bronx Council of the Arts. Her recent TV credits include: NEW AMSTERDAM, BULL, Martin Scorsese’s VINYL, JESSICA JONES, and LAW & ORDER: SVU. Marilyn Parada - Bernadette

Marilyn Parada - Bernadette

Marilyn Parada (she/her) is from Long Island, NY and recently graduated from Manhattanville College with a BFA in Musical Theatre. Marilyn grew her love for performing when she started dancing at Kellie's Dance Studio at just four years old for 14 years, then found her passion for musical theater in elementary school. Growing up, Marilyn was always involved in choirs and performance groups, particularly in high school. During this time, she also had the opportunity to take an Intensive Acting course at the Rybin Studio of Drama. When Marilyn is not performing, she loves to travel with her family, explore new places, and meet new faces! Her recent credits include Pilar in Legally Blonde, Joe Hardy in Damn Yankees, and Ensemble (Dance Captain) in Something Rotten!, all at Manhattanville college. She most recently played Mari in Butterfly: The Circle of Life with Plaza Theatrical & Hudson Vagabond Puppets . Marilyn is very determined to continue her career in the performing arts industry.

Noah Castillero - Bernard

Noah Castillero (he/him) is a multi-hyphenate creative from San Diego, California with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts from Azusa Pacific University. Previous work includes Brick-Or-Treat Nights At Legoland, Disneyland's A Christmas Fantasy, DJ Dmitiri on HBOMax's Gossip Girl. Noah will be working bi-coastally starting in August: follow his LA endeavors on Instagram and watch a few of his viral videos on TikTok @noahcastillero .

Thaddeus S Fitzpatrick (he/him) NYC credits include the 50th Anniversary of PBS Great Performance and 60th Anniversary of Shakespeare in the Park's production of Richard III in the role of Dorset, Alcestis Ascending (Clurman Theater), Autumn's Harvest (Lincoln Center Education TYA). Other regional credits include the world premier productions of I and You (Olney Theater), Book of Will and Frankenstein (Denver Center). VO and Commercial include work with Pepsi Co, YES Satellite TV, and MTV.

Yadira Correa (she/her) most recently worked on TRUCKERS at INTAR Theatre. She co-translated and performed MALA by Melinda Lopez in Spanish at Old Globe Theatre. Some of her Regional Theatre Credits include: Mother Road (San Diego Rep), Romeo and Juliet (Old Globe), As You Like It (Old Globe), The Tempest (Old Globe), Much Ado About Nothing (Old Globe), Mother Road (San Diego Rep), 2666 (Goodman), Comedy Of Errors (OSF), Water By The Spoonful (Court), The Merchant of Venice (Theatre Squared), ENFRASCADA (Rennaisance Theatreworks and 16th Street Theatre). Television: New Amsterdam, Chicago P.D., The Punisher, Blindspot. Education: M.F.A. The Old Globe and University of San Diego Graduate Theater Program.
