With a national election scheduled in the midst of a global pandemic, there is a need for poll workers more than ever before. 

WORK THE POLLS is an urgent Egg & Spoon initiative to recruit volunteers and poll workers to ensure that every American can vote easily and safely this fall. 

From now until November, our team will be soliciting interest from our community, researching troubled counties across the country, and keeping track of our progress. If you’re able bodied, and interested in joining us to help keep polling places open, then click the button below!

Click the link below, and select your STATE and MUNICIPALITY. Then, read the info and send in an application in the manner that your jurisdiction requires. So easy. Most of these positions are paid!!

Why is this important?

The U.S. Election Assistance Commission reported that 58% of poll workers in the 2018 general election were over 60 years old, and some early primary states this year saw a frightening lack of workers. Wisconsin was short some 7,000 workers during the 2020 primary forcing the amount of polling places to drop in the state by at least 11%, depressing turnout by nearly 9% (Brennan Center). Without enough young people stepping up to the plate, we might see a drop in polling places that will further discourage Americans from making the trip to the ballot box on November 3rd.
